Axium Global Committed to Autodesk Building Design Suite (BDS) Solutions
Axium Global has recently agreed to renew it’s multiple licenses of the Autodesk Building Design Suite from Autodesk. The product, a 3D design and documentation tool used for building design, supports Building Information Modelling (BIM) as well as CAD-based design workflows.
Whilst many will feel that Autodesk’s suite of products are more limited to a ‘Closed BIM’ environment, at Axium Global we have continued to see the benefits for architectural and engineering projects for engineers, architects, retailers and homebuilders.
As a URS ISO 9001:2008 certified company and as a member of the Autodesk Developer Network, Axium Global continues to place emphasis on software tools such as BDS because they meet industry benchmarks and help to overcome interoperability issues posed by software from different providers.
With Autodesk’s BDS there are three editions, the Standard, Premium and Ultimate Edition. For designers and drafters, the Standard edition provides basic documentation tools. For MEP engineers, structural engineers and architects who need an optimised set of tools, the Premium edition provides an intelligent 3D BIM-based model design. For construction professionals who need design and construction insights and analysis across the building lifecycle, the Ultimate edition provides a comprehensive set of tools.
By upgrading to the latest versions of Autodesk software programs, Axium Global aims to minimize costs, improve efficiency by using a standardised set of tools, facilitate teams with diverse needs with the flexibility of using several tools, increase effectiveness of managing schedules and projects costs and minimise IT costs by using a single building design suite that is BIM-ready.
